The MOJO LOCO is an incredible social running phenomenon, where people come together who have met through social networks like dailymile and facebook and new media such as podcasts to run across the planet - together.
The Mojo Loco is a non-competitive social relay in which groups of three or four from a team of around 12 runners complete individual legs of a total course which can vary in distance. The emphasis is on fun and cementing ‘virtual’ friendships in while taking part in an activity we all love in common – RUNNING!
The first Mojo Loco event in November 2010 included 13 crazy runners that ran 80km in an independent relay in Florida in the United States.
Subsequent Mojo Loco events have taken place in Boston (the Poco Loco) and events are scheduled for St. Louis (the Mojo St. Loco) and London (The Mojo London).
Well, the Mojo Loco is now coming down under with the THE WOJO LOCO in Sydney in early 2012.
A separate web site for the event has been set up here.
We will be running a relay course starting at North Head near the beautiful Manly Beach, through the lower North Shore, across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and onto Bondi Beach via the Rocks, the Royal Botanic Gardens and the route of the famous City2Surf road race.
We’ll finish up with a dinner together and a few cold beers.
There are only a limited number of places available for this great event. If you’re interested drop me a line vie the email address at the top of this page.
¡VIVA EL MOJO LOCO!
